Sanlam Cape Town Marathon has passed the 1st assessment to become Abbott World Marathon Majors race in 2024, and will have the 2nd assessment in 2026 – following the event cancellation in 2025. If you complete your marathon in 2026 in Cape Town, you will get the provisional star for Abbott WMM in the case Cape Town Marathon passes the evaluation and becoming the 8th major in 2027.

Our hotel is located near to race village at DHL Stadium, it's only about 2K distance. We will go from hotel to race village by walking.
Yes, we will arrange to collect race pack at marathon expo together in group. We will also arrange group shake out run on Friday morning - for the group. This is your chance to check with weather, testing your outfit, and enjoy the vibes of finish area.
