Sanlam Cape Town Marathon has passed the 1st assessment to become Abbott World Marathon Majors race in 2024, and will have the 2nd assessment in 2025. If you complete your marathon in 2025 in Cape Town, you qualify for priority entry to one of the races in 2026, 2027, or 2028.

    [14:00] When arriving in Cape Town, make you own way to hotel for check in. You can ask for early check if possible, or drop your bag at concierge if you come early.

    [15:00 – 19:00] Go to marathon expo at DHL Stadium to collect your race pack.

    Enjoy the evening in the surrounding neighborhood

  • Friday, 17 October

    [06:00] Enjoy breakfast at hotel

    [08:00] We will have Shake Out Morning Run from hotel for about 5K around the city to DHL Stadium to enjoy the vibe of Cape Town. Gather in hotel lobby, wearing Cerita Lari’s special edition jersey

    [11:00] Race pack collection, go shopping, enjoy the city

    Free activity on the afternoon

  • Saturday, 18 October

    [06:00] Enjoy breakfast in hotel.

    10K Peace Run for those who register, time to be confirmed

    Today is free time activity, please have more rest

    [17:00] Don’t forget carbo loading – we will arrange if you want to have carbo loading dinner together with the group.

    [20:00] Prepare your gear for tomorrow run. Get early sleep.

  • Sunday, 19 October

    It’s your marathon day!

    [04:00] Wake up, be prepared

    [05:00 – 05:30] Gather at hotel lobby. Please be prepared all your running kits. We will distribute poncho and thermal blanket for you.

    [05:30 – 06:00] We will leave hotel to start area by walking. It’s only about 2K from hotel to race village at DHL Stadium.

    [06:40] Marathon starts by 06:40 for wave 1 with 6.30 hours cut off. Enjoy your marathon!!! Don’t forget to take many photos!

    [13:00] Predicted that all runners have finished by this hour. You can go back to hotel by yourself, no need wait for other runners.

    Let’s have dinner celebration together this afternoon, and have a good rest!

    Today is Medan Monday, have a moment to take photo around Cape Town.

Our hotel is located near to race village at DHL Stadium, it's only about 2K distance. We will go from hotel to race village by walking.

Yes, we will arrange to collect race pack at marathon expo together in group. We will also arrange group shake out run on Friday morning - for the group. This is your chance to check with weather, testing your outfit, and enjoy the vibes of finish area.

Yes you can request for additional night, before and/or after the package period. Please check to Cerita Lari for the price and availability.

Yes we can help you to apply the visa. Whether you want to ask Cerita Lari to help you with visa application or you want to apply by yourself, Cerita Lari will provide visa assistance service for you. Please contact Cerita Lari about the service and what document you need to prepare for visa application. Please be note that the approval / rejection of visa application is full rights of the Embassy. What Cerita Lari can help is to ensure that you submit all the documents correctly so the chance your application to be approved will be high.

No you cannot. Cerita Lari's contract with the race is only applied for the current year, meaning that the entries we have for this year cannot be used for the next year.
